The Mödlinger aqueduct belongs to the cityscape of the city as the St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. The approximately 186 meter long valley translation was built by the Vienna Water Supply as a high-source water pipe. The water is transported from the Viennese house mountains Rax and Schneeberg. Between 1999 and 2004, the Mödling aqueduct was refurbished according to a method developed in consultation with the Federal Monuments Office by the MA 31 - Wiener Wasserwerke. After repairing the vault, the damaged masonry was separated from the aqueduct by means of a diamond rope on the outside in a thickness of about 15 centimeters and replaced by a newly built pre-glare masonry made of frost-resistant clinker bricks in Old Viennese format.
