Here you can refresh your knowledge about water on the drinking water educational trail of the waterworks of the Oldenburg-East Frisian Water Association (OOWV). The path is open all year round and, if you register in advance, you can also arrange a free tour of the waterworks and the nature trail. The drinking water educational trail provides insights into the diversity of drinking water supplies.

Fresh and healthy drinking water flows from the tap - but what is needed and how does it work? Find out! At the waterworks and on the Nethen drinking water educational trail you can find out more about groundwater, water pumping and drinking water treatment and distribution. Visitors can find interesting and exciting information about drinking water production and groundwater protection.

The 350 meter long educational trail right next to the waterworks provides an insight into the water cycle and the complex processes involved in supplying drinking water. Display boards explain the importance of water and show how water pumping works. And there is technology on display that would otherwise work in secret. With hands-on models you can experience and understand what you have learned in practice.
