The Further Moor covers around 40 hectares and, as a landscape protection area, cannot be entered. It is not accessible by paths, but can be circled. 12 hectares of forest are currently being cleared. The birches gradually dry out the moor and this should be rewetted. The renaturation is funded by the EU and the state.

A good starting point for exploring the area surrounding the Further Moor nature reserve is the hiking car park on the Bergische Landstraße (Langenfeld), south of the Langenfeld-Immigrath exit of the A 542. The nature reserve itself may not be entered. ..."
