Rostock Hauptbahnhof is the main station of the Mecklenburg Hanseatic City of Rostock and the largest passenger station in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
It went into operation in 1886 for Lloyd Bahn trains from Berlin via Neustrelitz to Warnemünde with a connection to the ferry to Denmark.
In 1896 he took over most of the city's railway passenger transport.
