The chateau is a little higher up, so you have a really nice view of the village. There is also great seating under a tree. The place is extremely tranquil. There is much to see.

Very nice, small castle ruins with a great view of Walschbronn. The castle grounds are very well maintained. The benches with a table under a tree are perfect for a break!

Château du Weckersburg à Walschbronn – that is the exact name of this former hunting lodge with the remains of two round defensive towers and the remains of walls with loopholes.

In 1909, a 4 m high statue of the Sacred Heart was placed on a 10 m high pedestal on the site, which is somewhat reminiscent of Río. Below the remains of the walls and the statue, you pass a grotto dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
