Cima Mandriolo (or Manderiòlo) is one of the peaks that border the northern edge of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni: the southern slope slopes gently toward the plateau, while the northern slope descends steeply toward the Valsugana.

From the summit, you can enjoy a superb panorama: to the east, the long bastion of Cima Portule; to the south, Mount Verena and the Vezzena plateau; to the west, Cima Vezzena with its fort, the Vicenza Prealps and Becco di Filadonna; to the north, the Valsugana, the Dolomites, and the entire Lagorai mountain range.

The final climb is along the ridge, well away from the sheer drop into the Valsugana, but if you go off-road, you'll find yourself carefully on the edge of the unprotected precipice: this very verticality to the north undoubtedly makes this hike rewarding.
