The Hillary Bridge, 70 m high above the foaming Dudh-Khosi River, is the last big step on the way from Lukla to Namche Bazaar. There is sometimes a lot of "traffic" on the Khumbu Highway. A few meters further up, a first view of Mount Everest opens up.

Not far from the old "Hillarybridge" a new modern suspension bridge was built here in 2013 over the mountain river Dudekoshi. Not far from here the Bhotekoshi flows into the somewhat larger Dudekoshi. The closest town is Namche at a distance of 2 km - but there are almost 500m altitude difference to climb.
