The rain cistern is located on the way to Llano de la Perdiz, in the Dehesa del Generalife. This hydraulic work was built more than a thousand years ago, there is evidence that it already existed at the end of the 10th century. It carried water to the palace of Dar al-Arusa (House of the Wife). Today this construction continues to receive rainwater and surface runoff from the area.
