        The mill wheel of De Motmolen, a disappeared water mill, in De Demer came to this place. You will also find the foundations of the mill. In the 13th century, the Motmolen was part of a fief belonging to the lords of Grimmertingen. In 1699 it became the property of the Grand Commander of Alden Biesen until the French Revolution, after which it became private property. The grain mill was still owned here until the 1960s and this so-called "waterfall" is part of what remains: a reminder of the past. A little further is an information board about the water mill itself.
