    The steles made of various granite stones were erected as a memorial for the stonemason culture around Beucha. On each rock level you can read the origin, type of granite and the age.

    In the background, on the opposite bank of the church quarry, the Beucha mountain church rises majestically.

              Here, you'll find the remains of the former elevator for the quarried stone from the Kirchbruch (church quarry), two five-meter-high reinforced concrete columns. In 1988, the idea arose to use these columns to display the stone used in the former GDR. Graphic designer Gerd Nawrot and the geologists from "Elbnaturstein Dresden" advised on the implementation. The surrounding area was designed by the municipality. To this day, granite, syenite, quartz porphyry, metabasalt (formerly diabase), and syenite granite from eastern Germany can be compared and admired here.
