In the upper slope area of the Jägersburgergraben (geotope) between Bammersdorf and Serlbach there are sandstones. They were quarried in several small, now disused quarries.

The Jägersburgergraben used to be called the "drum gorge". Because it used to be used as an adventure playground by a bunch of boys. The name came from the tin cans lying there, on which people were drumming. The canisters are no longer there, but the place has lost none of its fascination.

A very nice narrow path that is always varied. If the water is still rippling in the ditch, it's definitely even better.

In the upper area of the "Jägersburger Graben" (designated geotope) there are sandstones from Rhaetolian. They were mined in several small quarries that have since been shut down. Down the slope, numerous sandstone blocks form an extensive block field, especially in the north-western part of the graben. (Source: Environmental Atlas of Bavaria)

Here a rather narrow and varied path leads through the wild and romantic ditch, which is popular with mountain bikers. This section is a real highlight.
