The Arenoso reservoir (Campos de Arenoso) is located in the municipalities of Montanejos and Puebla de Arenoso, in the course of the Mijares river. El Chorro is its drainage point, a spillway called gates, which has a capacity of 41 m3/s.
If you go down to the bridge located nearby, you can see up close the power and beauty of the water at its outlet, as well as the spectacular vertical limestone walls, through which the channeling has been excavated. The extraordinary horizontality of the geological strata is striking.
