The listed bridge from 1898 offers a beautiful view of your surroundings. Originally, the Muffatwerk's power and water supply ran below the bridge over the Isar; hence the name “cable bridge”.

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in the city is here at Kabelsteg. Water rushes (sometimes more, sometimes less) from the Great Isar into the Little Isar through the ten openings of the Isar Weir VI. The latter is not that small here, but with its sandbanks it offers plenty of space for animals and people. In the background sits the “Protestant Cathedral”, the majestic Church of St. Luke. It is particularly beautiful here in special lighting conditions, for example when the evening sun is low behind the church.
