The street name "Berliner Allee" is actually incorrect and should be called Berliner Straße. Berliner Allee is the name of this street only after the city wall in the direction of (as the name suggests) Berlin 😊. From the Berliner Tor, Berliner Straße has been the longitudinal axis of the former farming town for centuries and once connected the southern entrance to the city with the entrance to the palace grounds in the north. Up until the 19th century, the northern part of Berliner Strasse (between the market square and the palace church) was called Schloßstrasse. Among other things, it was the main entrance to the market, which served as a central place for receptions, events and markets for centuries. With the paving created as part of the renovation from 1992 and the town-typical farm houses and farmsteads from the 19th century, Berliner Straße and the adjacent market square form a historical unit again.
