Wonderful villa. After various interim uses and lawsuits about the property, the Free State of Saxony was able to sell the building to a private investor. Today there are condominiums in the villa.

Originally, this house was called the old gardener's house because the court gardener lived here. During the conversion in 1825, this building also received reliefs by Franz Pettrich with depictions of country life on both side wings. The relief panel on the left shows a gardener with his typical tools, the one on the right a flower binder. In 1893 the house was converted into a kitchen house in connection with the construction of the royal villa.

There was already a royal palace on the site. The current building was erected in 1892 as a residential building - based on plans by Wilhelm Teichgräber in the neo-renaissance style. In 1894, the later last King Friedrich August III moved into it. and lived there with his family until he took office in 1904.
