Here you can see the tombstones. Many are soldiers. There is a small "church" in the park as well. The place is quite small but very interesting. Easy to recommend. In 5 minutes you are there from the Horski Hotel.

The Symbolický cintorín (German symbolic cemetery, 1525 m) is a very touristy memorial near Lake Popradské pleso under the western slopes of Mount Osterva, where there is a symbolic cemetery in the pine forest to honor those who live in the high Tatra and, exceptionally, the people of the High Tatras who lost their lives in the high mountain world.

Well done. The memorial plaques are artfully designed. The whole area is located in the forest and between the trees are colorful wooden crosses.

It is a frighteningly extensive area with many beautiful wooden crosses and countless memorial plaques for people who lost their lives in the mountain. In the center of the area is a small chapel.

My impression is that many of the dead died at a young age. It is a contemplative place that warns the living to be careful and offers the bereaved a place of remembrance.
