In the Fasangarten on the corner of Lincolnstrasse and Leifstrasse there is a small sacred jewel with an almost spectacular history, the so-called Cathedral of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia. It is about the former American church of the soldiers' settlement in the pheasant garden. After the US troops withdrew from Munich, it was acquired by the Russian Church Abroad in 1993 for around DM 1 million and converted and moved into in 1994. It is the seat of Archbishop Mark Arndt.
