Unfortunately, access to this lovely little fountain (next to which there used to be a seating area) is no longer maintained for us forest visitors.
According to the DÜW Tourist Information Office and locals, for nature conservation reasons, walking to the fountain from the hiking trail is discouraged (which is why everything is overgrown and fallen trees are not cleared).
CAUTION: A pond has been created here as part of nature conservation efforts, and you can easily fall into it if you are looking for the fountain!

The fountain is said to be named after a former Dürkheim forester who had his hunting ground here. However, the name of the fountain has nothing to do with the name of the "Schleipen paper mill".
