St. Martin's Church can be found on the market square in the middle of the town of Meuselwitz.
The wooden predecessor church, first mentioned in documents in the 14th century, was dedicated to St. Martin of Tours. In 1687, the landowner and patron Veit Ludwig von Seckendorff, who was later buried in the church, had the baroque St. Martin's Church built on the same site.

This church, dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours, is sometimes also called the Schauderkirche. That certainly has something to do with the location: Meuselwitz is on the Schnauder River, and the lowland is known as the Schnauder Valley.
Originally a wooden church stood at this point on today's market square.
In 1687 the landowner and patron Veit Ludwig von Seckendorff had today's baroque Martinskirche built.
