The Stadtpark has the most monuments and sculptures of all parks in Vienna. The most famous is the Strauss monument. This bronze statue of Johann Strauss Sohn with a marble relief by Edmund Hellmer was unveiled in 1921. The gilding was removed in 1935 but reapplied in 1991.
