                                      Between 1926 and 1928, the Niederhausen GmbH hydroelectric power station built a hydroelectric power station in the immediate vicinity of the village. The weir, which consists of three fields near the former train station, accumulates the water so that the water flows to the power plant in a 760 m long canal called an upper ditch.
                                      Until the 1990s, part of the now dismantled Glantalbahn was used for transport to the power plant.
                                      During a longer period of frost, the reservoir can be opened for ice skating.
