    Very beautifully situated on the Nahe.
    The huge porphyry rock massif forms the highest cliff face (202m) between the Alps and Scandinavia at a height of 327m above sea level and a width of about 2 km.
    The Rotenfels lies on the left bank of the Nahe between the towns of Norheim and Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg. The south-southeastern border is defined by the Nahe wine route running along the foot of the slope and the outskirts of Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg. In the southwest and north, however, vineyards and forest areas form the area's boundaries. Several hiking trails lead over the mountain massif, and the platform can also be easily reached by car via the town of Traisen.

                This highlight is located in the middle of the city, most of the pictures were obviously taken on the banks of the Nahe. You probably don't get the view suggested by these pictures at the highlight position.
