The Waldheim - Kriebethal railway line was a branch line, almost exclusively with freight traffic. The railway was in operation from 1896 to 1998. The Lindenhof Viaduct is located near the Waldheim train station.

Railway viaduct "Krummer Hund" built in 1895/1896 - very high towering, landscape-defining pillar viaduct, largest engineering structure of the branch line to Kriebethal and one of the largest preserved railway bridges of this construction in Saxony, technically and historically important.
Five-field scaffolding pillar viaduct (alternative name: Trestle Bridge) over the Sauergrasbach and the road to Reinsdorf, 171 m long single-track railway bridge with an overhead roadway, describing a long curve, also with a slight incline, originally normal gauge, 2004 by the Waldheim-Kriebstein Kleinbahnverein on narrow gauge converted, five riveted truss girders with a span of 25 m on four scaffolding pillars, each standing on four stone bases, on both sides of the abutment adjoining the railway embankment, total length approx. 171 m, length between the abutments 163.9 m, width 3 m, Height from the bottom of the stream approx. 31.1 m, construction costs 153,973 marks, scaffolding pillar constructions were used more frequently on the Saxon branch and narrow-gauge railways, meanwhile of rarity, especially in this size, bridge construction due to the curve radius and the slope of the line in the vernacular as "Krummer Hund" called, lies on z two districts: Waldheim (Flstk. 1009) and Heiligenborn (Flstk. 58).
