    The end did not come unexpectedly and quickly. In summer 2003, excavators and heavy equipment demolished Steinhude station, which was built in 1897.

    The Steinhuder Sea-Bahn AG (St.M.B.) operated a 52.7-kilometer railway line in narrow gauge from Wunstorf on Steinhude, Bad Rehburg, Stolzenau to Uchte and a six-kilometer, initially dreischienige, later only normalspurige route from Wunstorf to Bokeloh.

          If you ring the bell at the "farm shop" in the yard, you will be told with a smile that you are welcome to take a look around the site completely free of charge. There is even a guest book in one of the wagons!
          Very nice display inside the wagons!
          The former train station itself stood on the site of the playground opposite with the wooden locomotive.
