This is a very beautiful hiking area, the gurgling of water accompanies you everywhere. Sure-footedness is absolutely necessary on long sections of the route. Depending on the season, waterproof/repellent shoes are recommended.

Great nature trails lead along the Weser in sections. We did the hike in early March and loved the beautiful trails. This will probably be topped when nature awakens again in spring and everything turns green and ... .

Just few meters walk and then you land into the beautiful forest trail. It's very soothing to walk along as if you can sense the stillness of forests and calm your mind along the flow of stream. The walk along the river is pretty interesting. During peak hours, it can get crowded because of family trips but you can get back your solitude soon after. Highly recommended!!

Probably one of the most scenic routes in the Venn. On Eschbach and Steinbach it bubbles from all corners ... great paths over tree roots and over the streams. Sturdy shoes and hiking poles have certainly accompanied us. I was only able to post a few of over 100 photos. But at every bend that the rivers made, you could have taken a lot more photos. It was simply indescribable 😍

Rooty forest path near the confluence of the Weser and Eschbach rivers with Steininsel, you should have a look. Officially, however, the path has still been closed since the floods in July.
