The listed castle is a brick building built around 1836. In 1906 it was replaced by extensions and additions in the style of reform its present appearance. In 1261 the family of Dechow was invested with the estate Pütnitz. In 1788, the sole heir Caroline von Dechow married Christian von Zanthier. Since 1810 Pütnitz was owned by the Zanthier family. The manor, to which the Vorwerk Steinort belonged, had a size of 1,023 ha in 1937. Since 1261, the estate was operated until 1945 throughout as an agricultural estate by the resident Gutsfamilien. After 1945, the castle was used for social purposes, so on. as a kindergarten, school and local administration. In the former Gutspark is a hereditary burial of those of Dechow and Zanthier. This chapel was built in 1797 in the classical style. The castle was owned by the building industry until 2010, a separate operation of the city Ribnitz-Damgarten and was sold in December 2010 to the Hong Kong-based family Nikolaus von der Lühe. The new owner renovated the castle and the restgut park and set up apartments.
