Sporty, wonderful tour through one of the most beautiful valleys in the Hohe Tauern National Park ...

The starting point of the tour is the parking lot for visitors to the Krimml Waterfalls (approx. 1080 m, approx. 100 meters before the Gerlos toll booth). After the 2nd bend on Gerlosstrasse after the tunnel, turn left and climb steeply uphill on the forest road. After about 1.15 hours and 6.5 km, a tunnel (light recommended!) Takes you to the widening Krimmler Achental. The Krimmler Achental is one of the longest and most scenic Tauern valleys in the Hohe Tauern National Park! After a 14 km drive and approx. 2 hours you reach the Krimmler Tauernhaus (1622 m), which invites you to take a break!
Back on the same path.

If you still have strength in your legs, you should continue cycling from the Krimmler Tauernhaus to the Ausserkees Alm (approx. 1750 m) or Innerkees Alm. The bike route ends here. You have a very nice view of the imposing glaciers of the Krimmler Kees and the Dreiherrnspitze. Additional route length: 12 km (including return to the Krimmler Tauernhaus!);

Fantastic high valley above the Krimml Waterfalls (Salzburger Land, border with Tyrol). When you get to the top of the Krimml Waterfalls, a deep, almost flat (slightly uphill) trough valley of around 25 km in length opens up. After about 12 km from the upper waterfall you will reach the old, venerable Tauernhaus. You can stop here or stay the night. If you are on a bike, I recommend that you first ride to the end of the Trogtal valley (beautiful!) and then stop off at the Tauernhaus on the way back.
This valley is a SUPER HIGHLIGHT! and you should really treat yourself!

A pleasant route on an electric bike. For the upper section of the valley, it is worth having an extra sweatshirt/jersey (the wind from the glacier can be cold even in the middle of summer).
