It's nice to see how the gondolas float over you. As long as you can walk well, the climb is worth it. If you have knee problems, you can take the train down if necessary.

The most beautiful panoramic mountain in the Black Forest, a junction in the mystical triangle of Celtic Druids, revered by many as a place of power.

The road to Belchen was closed in 2001, and since then a gondola has taken visitors to the summit.

Due to its spectacular location on the edge of the Upper Rhine plain, the Belchen - at 1414 m high, the third highest Black Forest mountain - seems to tower above all other peaks.

Since December 2001, both skiers and hikers have been floating silently towards the most beautiful mountain in the Black Forest. The valley station is at an altitude of 1100 m in Multen. From there, you can take the cable car (each cabin has 8 seats) to the mountain station at an altitude of 1356 m.

The cable car ride takes about 4 minutes and climbs 263 meters. At the mountain station you have your first eye-opening view, which gets even more impressive as you walk around the plateau - unless you're in the middle of the fog - but then there's always the Belchenhaus. It's only a few steps away.
