Schellerhau is a beautiful place not far from Altenberg and offers hiking and sports opportunities all year round.
We stayed at the Ahorn Waldhotel and were pleased with the service and friendliness of the staff. In the hotel you can rent winter sports equipment and in front of the hotel you could enjoy a few mulled wine in a nice ambience in the evening with the hot witch.
We went to the Bergklause for dinner. It's more comfortable there, isn't it?
more familiar and the food tastes good.
Overall, it's a nice alternative if you don't necessarily have to stay in Altenberg.

In Schellerhau you really feel welcome everywhere, everything is nicely signposted and is now particularly beautifully designed for the Christmas season. The winter service on the streets and paths also worked fine.
