The Mutspitz is a wonderful panoramic mountain with a 360 degree view. It's easy from the Mutkopf and then continues beautifully over the ridge if you don't have a head for heights. A MUST DO for Merano hikers

Wonderful view!!!
Once at the top you can hike towards the Taufenscharte or back to the Mutkopfalm.
From the Taufenscharte you can walk (if you have enough time) to the Spronser lakes.

A great circular hike with a fantastic view that can be started easily from Dorf Tirol. We first took the train up to the Hochmuth mountain inn, then on to the Leiteralm on hiking boots, up to the Mutkopfspitze and down again to the Mutkopf mountain inn and then back down to the village by train. Allow enough time, because on the Leiteralm you like to sit a little longer and on the way back there are nice refreshments. So pay attention to the time and timetable if you don't want to run down 😎

Outstanding panorama! The effort of the climb is really worth it. My recommendation: ascent over the Taufenscharte, descent back down to the Mutkopf hut. Is much more pleasant to walk and the entire way there is already more adventurous.

The Mutspitze is a very beautiful mountain that can also be conquered in the sweltering midday sun. Unfortunately there are a bit too many people there in my opinion. For a family with medium-sized children, even in an untrained way, I would certainly dare to go up there, but some of the more difficult points are that you sometimes walk along steep slopes. So be careful there. Since the paved path to the summit is mainly in the form of stairs, you should be fit in your knees. All in all I would recommend a small 1/2 - 3/4 day tour to the Mutspitze.
