A nice train station and a good starting point for the Rennsteig tour. The shuttle from Ilmenau unfortunately only runs every two hours on weekends.

As the Rennsteig shuttle runs only to a limited extent, one more note:
You can also take the bus (line 400) to Allzunah from Ilmenau station. or Rennsteig junction. You can take your bike with you (€ 1.80).
