At 2,428 m (7,965 feet), the Canchal de la Ceja is the highest mountain in the Sierra de Bejar and Salamanca province. The name of the mountain 'Ceja' translates as eyebrow and comes from the unusually-shaped snowfield below the summit of the mountain's North face.
