The Tüschenbroich oil mill lies above the castle pond. The mill dates back to the 14th / 15th centuries.
The current mill building probably dates from the 18th century. It is a three-winged framework with a two-story thatched mill house. The millstones, the pan mill and the functional mill wheel have been completely preserved to this day.
The oil mill originally belonged to Tüschenbroich Castle and was subject to compulsory mills, so that the inhabitants of the lands belonging to the castle were forced to have it painted. The oil mill was used only to press flax oil, and operations ceased in 1912.
Today there is a studio in the lovingly restored building.
