We started at a private small animal enclosure 🐖🐐🐓.
The signs led us straight ahead along the corn field until the path turned right.
At the bend we meet an informative board that provides information about the moor. The sign points to the left in the direction of Bohlenweg. We follow the path and reach a replica of a prehistoric boardwalk.
It is indeed difficult to walk on these planks. Now imagine if you had to be there with wooden slippers. Some panels provide information about the history. Here is also a nice place to take a break before going to the moor.

After the rest, continue on the same path. At a refuge, a bridge leads to the right over the stream. In front of us now lies the actual moor. Time and again, good boards provide information about the history, flora and fauna of the moor.
Finally, a small viewing platform along the way gives a good view of the moor.

At the end of this beautiful path we reach a wide Wittemoorweg. We follow this via the Hoher Weg to a rest area with further information about the Wittemoor. The path leads past curious cows 🐄🐄🐄 and after another 600m we branch off to the left. Past another rest area - it goes back towards Reiherholz.
