A medieval fortress situated on the on the banks of the River Seiont, Caernarfon Castle has protected Caernarfon since the 11th century. The magnificent castle is open to visitors from 9.30am - 5pm (last admission at 4.30pm). Tickets costs £9.90 for adults. A visit to Wales is not complete until you visit Caernarfon Castle. Wales is lucky to have a plethora of world class castles and here in North Wales there are four of them Beaumaris, Conwy, Harlech and Caernarfon. Caernarfon Castle is the most noted of the fantastic four as they are known. Allow yourself the best part of a day to walk around this medieval marvel that stands right on the water front of this beautiful little town.
