    Landscape De Liereman is the first official sanctuary in the Kempen. You can hear the regional, soothing sounds of nature. The landscape is a feast for the eyes with a mosaic of forests, grasslands, heaths and fens. Konik horses, Shetland ponies, sheep and Galloways graze among all that beauty. A plank path and viewing hut let you experience nature in all its glory.

      Landscape De Liereman in the Kempen is one of the oldest nature reserves in Belgium. The forests, heathland, grasslands, drifting dunes and fens make it a unique nature reserve in Europe. The Kempen biotopes have been a home for the curlew, the nightjar, the bell gentian and the natterjack toad for centuries. In the visitor center you can enjoy a refreshing drink and arrange a guided tour.

      The summer terrace is open every day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., on public holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

      And there is a very spacious parking lot...
