Very beautiful nature reserve, idyllically situated between flower meadows and lakes. Not far from the Bärensee, also easy to reach by public transport from the S-Bahn University.

Büsnauer Wiesental Nature Reserve: The meadows in the Büsnauer Wiesental are only a last remnant of what was once a much more extensive meadow landscape. Where the Max Planck Institutes now stand, the Büsnauer Hof state estate was formerly used as meadows, horse and sheep pastures, and fields. In 1837, all buildings were demolished. Only the former cheese dairy remained as a sheep barn until it, too, had to make way for the expansion of Büsnauer Straße in the 1950s. Today, the nature reserve is severely restricted by buildings and intensively used farmland.
