It's fun and it's a good change on the tour. On your own, by pulling on a wire rope, you get to the other shore. It is not a big distance and easy to handle. A good and natural solution 👍 A rest area with benches is also available.

It's fun trying out the hand cable ferry and crossing the river with muscle power. The hand cable ferry also offers space for wheelchairs, bicycles and prams. Farmers used to use hand cable ferries to transport animals across the river.
If you are alone on the ferry, it requires a certain amount of effort... together with others it is much better and also more fun. You get in contact immediately, any language barriers are overcome and no longer play a role because everything is "self-explanatory".

Wonderful landscape. The way to the second cable ferry is pretty overgrown with grass and reeds, the way was dry despite the previous rain and good, are advantageous here long pants and good shoes.

This is a real highlight. There are two cable ferries in quick succession. With muscle power, alone is possible, with two people is more comfortable, you pull yourself across the river. Komoot says that it will check the ferry times beforehand. That's not a problem here, always open.

Unfortunately, for me and other cyclists and hikers, the tour did not continue here. The steel cable ferry was so wedged or tied down on the other bank that none of us could pull it towards us from our side. Very unfortunate ☹️
