"... The Haus Ruhrnatur adventure museum was set up in 1992 by the Rheinisch-Westfälische Wasserwerksgesellschaft mbH (RWW) in a listed former school boathouse.

Fish from the Ruhr, small animals under the microscope, sounds and smells allow you to experience the Ruhr ecosystem up close. Since spring 2010, the exhibition has been expanded to include the topics of climate and renewable energies. Children, young people and adults experiment with wind turbines, water turbines and solar panels and find out what they can learn from nature when it comes to dealing with energy. Excursions to the nearby area are also offered, for example on the topics of water birds, small animals and floodplain landscapes. ..."
