The Oratory of San Rocco is located in the town of Poggio Alemanno, one of the most characteristic places in the municipality of Rocca Susella. This small building, built in 1600, is also known as the Alpini Church, since it was renovated in 1995 and managed by the Alpini Group of Godiasco, in memory of those fallen in war. Although it is deconsecrated, mass is celebrated once a year in conjunction with the Alpine celebrations.
The church is located in a strategic position, on a hill a few meters from the asphalt, a crossroads of paths (which can be traveled on foot or by mountain bike), which can be easily consulted thanks to the noticeboard located at the edge of the large space in front of the building. There is also a small fountain and a series of tables with benches, for resting and refreshment, as well as convenient parking. A few meters from the oratory you exit the woods to enjoy a beautiful view of the hills and valleys of this corner of Oltrepo Pavese.
