The beach at Zoutelande is also known as the Zeeland Riviera (nl: Zeeuwse Riviera), as it has the most hours of sunshine in the Netherlands in this area. Zoutelande is located in the middle of a continuous sandy beach that reaches from the radar tower in Westkapelle to the wind organ in Vlissingen.
On the beach there are at regular intervals wooden breakwaters (paalhoofd) to protect the beach.
