          "... The Große Egge, at 312 m above sea level, is the second highest elevation in the district of Gütersloh after the Hengeberg. It is part of the main ridge of the Teutoburg Forest and lies north of the closed urban area of Halle (Westphalia).
          The Große Egge is the only elevation on the main ridge of the Teutoburg Forest in the city of Halle that is not a nature reserve. The mountain gives its name to the Eggeberg district.
          Near the summit there is a Deutsche Bahn radio tower. The radio tower was built in 1953 and went into operation in 1954. In the early 1970s the cross masts were removed and the radio tower was shut down. The Hall golf course is located on the lower northern slope of the mountain. There is an old sandstone quarry to the southwest of the summit. ..."
