A beautiful place, right on the Elbe Cycle Path. There are some imposing oaks between the Elbe and Elbe dykes. The sculpture "Charon" is by Bernd Streiter and is located directly on the Elbe Cycle Path, at the eastern end of the village of Mödlich. I like to take a break here when I'm on my bike on the Elbe Cycle Path (which happens quite often).

This tree is called "Eiseiche". This oak, which is several hundred years old, stands in the Elbe foreland near the dike near Mödlich. A winter flood with sharp-edged ice floes left clear traces on the tree that can still be seen years later.
