로드 사이클링
30 kilometers south of Nuremberg, near the village of Eckersmühlen, is the former Schäff-Eisenhammer. This gem of industrial history on the Roth is now a museum – a living museum that impressively demonstrates the art of hammer forging and how to handle red-hot iron. For five generations, the iron hammer was owned by the Schäff family, a widespread hammersmith dynasty.

The Eisenhammer is very idyllically situated in a beautiful valley. There is a seat on the Eisenhammer. Guided tours are offered (see info on the pictures). There are also several hiking trails here.

The historic iron hammer Eckersmühlen is really an impressive museum, especially the blacksmith demonstrations are highly recommended.
Opening hours:
March 1st - March 30th: Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm - 5pm
April 2 - October 31: Wednesday to Sunday and public holidays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment

Families: 5 euros
Groups (min. 10 people): adults 2 euros, students/children 1 euro;
