As of May 23, 2020, the path through the Mecklenbruchmoor should be used as a one-way street due to the 1.50 m Corona safety distance. The direction is from east to west, i.e. from the Mittelberstraße towards the circular walk Meccklenbruch. The lookout tower is currently closed.

The marked position does not mark the Mecklenbruch high moor, but the access path ("Mittelbergstraße") from the hiking car park of the same name to the eastern end of the wooden plank path through the moor. From here you have a nice overview of the pastures of the Rote Höhenviehs.
