A detour from here is also worthwhile to Almerich and possibly to the Bismarck Tower (fantastic view and not far).

A lovely little weir. Now a portage is required for paddlers and it's no longer navigable.
If you arrive by canoe, you can already hear the water roaring, and you should definitely take the time to have a look.

Not far from Naumburg/Almrich there is a beautiful rapids on the Saale, directly on the Saale cycle path. You just have to stop here again and again on tours between Bad Kösen and Naumburg Henne because it visually transports you. Canoes also use here. From here it is not far east to Roßbach and the Blumengrund.
