Deeply hidden in the forest, right on the border between Eppenbrunn and Roppweiler, the Diana relief from Roman times is carved into a rock face made of red sandstone.

The relief is made in an artificial depression measuring 63x85 cm. It shows us a divine triad that has weathered badly over the centuries. The interpretation of the three Roman deities is controversial. At the beginning of the last century, an 80-year-old old woman came up with the simple formula: "She's a woman, a shepherd and a parson!" At least as far as the gender of the three people is concerned, the woman was completely correct.

The middle position is occupied by the hunting goddess Diana. Everyone agrees on that. She seems to step out of the picture with a light step. She takes an arrow from her quiver with her right hand, while she holds the bow in her left hand. A dynamic snapshot, shortly before the hunt is shot, which has its origins in Greek art. On her right side a dog looks at her, a second lies on her left.
