              The first mention of a manor house dates back to 1353. Starting in 1750, it was converted into a three-winged complex. From 1870 to 1873, it was rebuilt following Schinkel's designs in the Gothic Revival style with Tudor details. Since 1948, the castle was owned by the municipality, which sold it to a Berlin architect in 1992. Currently, access to the castle is blocked off by a construction fence.

                The castle is over 600 years old. Multiple changes of ownership. Survived the turmoil of war. 1992 Sale by the municipality to a Berlin architect. Visited the castle several years ago and couldn't see any significant changes compared to now (probably a money problem!?).
