Just a few steps from the wide hiking trail, in a gentle depression, lies this beautiful pond on the Lindenbach stream. Currently, in spring, bears, or rather, frogs, are dancing there to mate.

A somewhat hidden pond that can be reached via a small forest path. In summer, water lilies can be seen here, but the pond also has its own charm in autumn and winter.

Location + history: The small biotope at the Lindenbach is logically located in the Lindental a little south of the Saufangallee between the Spießenstumpenweg and Sonnenuhrweg paths.
If you are lucky, you can still see rare fire salamanders or the yellow-bellied toad. Where the Lindenbach flows into the pond, about 200 m further up the stream is the Lindenbachquelle.
Wonderful when the many water lilies are in bloom. The lake or pond is a bit off the path, but a short detour is definitely worthwhile for nature lovers.
