The extensive Schwerin-Mueß open-air museum is located in the former fishing and farming village of Mueß on the southern shore of Lake Schwerin. The museum focuses on the way of life of the Mecklenburg rural population from the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century.
The approximately 3.5 hectare site includes 13 buildings and objects, such as art cottages, village blacksmiths, village school with village educational garden, farmhouses, barns, which invite you to visit.
Craft markets, music events, children's parties, seminars and theater performances take place regularly on the museum grounds.
